Marble cutting is the right route when the main job is transforming slabs, tiles or approved surface material into finished project pieces. FROM SLAB TO LABELLED COMPONENT

The cutting sequence starts before the blade touches the stone.

Permanent cutting is difficult or impossible to reverse. We therefore treat drawing review, material identity, vein direction, openings, edge exposure and piece numbering as part of the fabrication scope—not as paperwork after cutting.

    We confirm the material reference, slab / tile thickness, finish, piece quantity, finished dimensions, edge requirements, openings and drawing revision before the cutting list is treated as released.

    Confirm slab orientation, vein direction and usable area

    Natural variation, visible defects, vein direction, book-match intent and required face orientation are considered before pieces are nested. Usable off-cuts can be identified, but zero wastage is never promised.

    Mark pieces, openings and fabrication details

    Piece IDs, cut lines, mitres, holes, notches, grooves, exposed edges and cut-outs are coordinated with the approved information before irreversible work proceeds.

    Cut and prepare the component

    Straight, angled, shaped and opening cuts are carried out using a method suitable for the material, thickness, geometry and currently available workshop equipment. Water or dust control depends on the actual cutting method.

    Finish exposed edges and local details

    Where included, raw edges are eased, bevelled, bullnosed, mitred, polished or otherwise finished to the approved profile. Sink edges, grooves and visible corners are checked separately.

  6. 06

    Measure, label, inspect and release

    Finished dimensions, edge profile, opening position, visible condition and piece identity are checked before components are protected for delivery, collection or installation.

We do not promise one cutting method for every material. Thickness, brittleness, reinforcement, resin content, vein structure, mesh backing, manufacturer instructions and finished use can all change the fabrication route.

What to confirm before we cut the stone.

Cutting becomes faster and safer when dimensions, material, openings and visible edges are clear before production.

01How much does marble cutting cost in Dubai?

Our planning rate for standard straight cut-to-size work starts from AED 30 per linear metre. Mitres, curves, polished edge profiles, holes, sink / hob openings, grooves and custom CNC or waterjet work have separate rates because they require different setup and finishing. The final quotation follows the cutting list, material, thickness, quantity and required finish.

02Can I bring my own marble or granite slab for cutting?

Yes, customer- or contractor-supplied material can be reviewed for workshop cutting. We first need the material type, thickness, visible condition, dimensions and required pieces. Acceptance for fabrication does not make us the manufacturer or supplier of the slab, and hidden weakness, previous damage or natural defects may affect what can safely be cut.

03What information do you need before cutting starts?

Send the approved drawing or cutting list, material reference, slab / tile thickness, finished piece dimensions, quantity, face / vein direction, exposed edge profile, openings, hole sizes and any piece-numbering requirement. Approximate site dimensions are not enough for irreversible custom fabrication.

04Do you cut sink, hob and tap openings?

Yes. Standard sink, cooktop and tap openings can be fabricated from confirmed appliance templates, approved drawings or verified final measurements. Undermount sink openings normally need more edge finishing than top-mount openings because the cut edge remains visible.

05Can you make 45-degree mitres and built-up edges?

Yes, suitable stone can be prepared with 45° mitres and built-up / laminated edge details. The final feasibility depends on material, thickness, edge length, support, joint location and the finished visual requirement; the mitre cut alone should not be confused with the complete bonded assembly.

06Do you do curved or CNC stone cutting?

Curves, radius details and more complex profile work can be reviewed. The method depends on geometry, material, thickness and the workshop equipment currently available for the production period. We do not promise a particular machine process before the component has been assessed.

07What is the difference between marble cutting and waterjet cutting?

This Marble Cutting page is for cut-to-size pieces, standard shapes, mitres, profiles, holes, cut-outs, grooves and general fabrication. The Waterjet service is the better route for medallions, logos, intricate curves, borders and multi-material inlays where decorative geometry is the main requirement.

08Can you cut porcelain, quartz and sintered slabs too?

These materials can be reviewed, but they are not treated as ordinary marble. Engineered quartz and large-format porcelain / sintered slabs have product-specific fabrication, support, cut-out and handling requirements. We confirm compatibility from the actual product and thickness before accepting a detail.

09Can you fabricate stair treads, skirting and thresholds?

Yes. We can prepare cut-to-size stair treads, risers, skirting, thresholds, sills and transition pieces. Tell us which edges remain exposed, where mitres are required and whether the pieces need numbering for a specific floor, room or stair sequence.

10Does the cutting price include installation and material?

Not unless the written quotation says so. The public cutting rates are workshop planning rates. Slab / material supply, site measurement, delivery, lifting, installation, reinforcement, adhesives, mechanical anchors, sealing and protection are separate scope items when required.

11How do you control vein direction and book-matched pieces?

For natural stone we can use approved slab layouts, face direction, piece numbers and cutting-list references so related pieces are cut in the intended sequence. Book-matching and vein continuity require enough suitable slab area and customer / consultant approval; they can increase wastage and fabrication time.
