Why Marble Polishing Does Not Have One Meaningful Flat Rate
A square metre tells you how much floor exists; it does not tell you how many stages are required to recover the finish.
Compare two 100 m² floors. The first is clean, level and structurally sound but has lost some clarity. Both measure 100 m², yet the second can require more refinement stages, more hand work and more setup between areas.

How Scratch Depth Changes the Polishing Quote
Fine surface scratches can often be reduced during honing/polishing. Deep scratches behave more like damage and can require restoration.

Edges, Corners, Stairs & Other Areas Machines Cannot Treat the Same Way
The central field of a floor is usually the fastest area. The perimeter and architectural details can consume disproportionate labour.
